About Me

My name is Laylah, I am a 16 year old Muslim African-American girl that lives in Chicago. On my free time, I like to fence, watch tv shows and movies, edit videos,  and  explore fashion . I started fencing when I was in the 2nd grade, but stopped in the 7th grade  because I wanted to focus on getting school and get ready for high school. I am now starting to fence again competitively to help me get into a college of my choice. I also like to watch movies a lot.One of my favorite producers is Studio Ghilbi and my favorite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio. I recently got into editing movies and videos , I felt inspired by watching a lot of movies and wanted to create something . This year I hope to earn a good rating in fencing. The ratings in fencing are u,e,d,c,b, and a,"u" meaning unrated and "a" being the best rating . I hope to grow mentally and to broaden my Math skills.I also hope to  accomplish studying  effectively for the ACT and SAT , so i can do well on the test.Being at GCE will make my life much easier, the fencing club I go to is next door.I won't have to study as hard for the ACT because there is a class that prepares us for it. During my time at GCE,  I will be documenting my projects and homework on this blog throughout the year.
